I bought this incredibly ethereal and subtle bronzer today. This picture makes it blue-ish and doesn’t give its golden hues justice, but I love it. I think I’m finally ready to give up that burst of bright pink on the apples of my cheeks.

I’ve been really partial to minimalism, lately. I don’t know if it’s my Virgo ascendant finally kicking in or what, but there’s something about kitschy, 1940’s tomboyish, athletic Americana that I want to start embodying. This era has suddenly become all about flashiness and bright colors and patterns thrown together without any regard for the archaic rules (which is awesome and I’m glad to see it), but it’s not something that resonates with me. I also bought these really simplistic but perfectly tailored classically blue trousers today. I’m really digging hard on them.

There’s something jarring about simplicity perfectly matched together with an air of irreverence, and that’s always been something I liked when it came to my aesthetics. I feel like Teddy Kennedy and his home in Cape Cod was always a good example of that.
